Starting to Blog

Well it seems I logged in using my email and password and landed on a page called dashboard.

There is a help screen from this page which is helpful.

If you're on your actual blog page after you've signed in, if you click sign in, you appear to go back to the dashboard - a place where you have all the control stuff to run your blog.

Readings for Week 2 - example

I believe the key messages from this week’s readings were designed to make me think about how public relations is a strategic function within an organisation. It's a function that also seems to work best when the CEO of an organisation understands how communication management can be strategically used to assist in achieving the organisation's goals.

The key points in the readings could be applied to my group’s work in that they made me realise the value of learning to work well in groups and they gave me a an understanding of how to approach PR Planning which will be handy for the assignment.

The readings made me think more about public relations theory/practice in that it's clear that to work effectively in an organisation a PR practitioner needs to work collaboratively with other areas within the organisation and that effective planning processes would help achieve this. I guess this is where the readings on working effectively in groups come into play

The readings related to the other reading I’ve done in previous weeks in that they build on the revision of what PR is all about but made me think about PR in a wider context than what I've done before.
